Step 1A: STRAIGHT BOND LAYING
Locate and remove 4 pieces roof tiles and slide up 2 tiles on the top for straight laying as marked.
Note: For optimum effect, install the Zepher unit as high as possible, 3rd tiles from the top (ridge or wall) and facing slightly South if you are in the Northern hemisphere. Avoid areas where there will be shadows falling upon the Zepher at any time of the day. Make sure tiles opening are clear of the rafters and cut off any ceiling of roof panels, sarkers or insulations that may obstruct air flow. Ensure all cutting is performed nicely if it can be seen from the bottom. Do not cut any battens or structural part of the roof or ceiling. (Picture 1A)

Step 1B-1: CROSS BOND / STAGGERED LAYING
Locate and remove 7 pieces roof tiles for staggered laying as marked.
Step 1B-2:
Cut the tiles into half following the tiles on top and bottom as shown in the picture. Then secure the tiles with screws and half tile clips. (Picture 1B)

Step 2
Install the side flashing according to the indications printed to the flashing. (Picture 2)
1. Bottom Right
2. Top Right
3. Bottom Left
4. Top Left
Step 3
Lay the main center flashing over the side flashings. (Picture 3)
Step 4
Drill two 3mm holes through main center flashing for each of the side flashings. There are 4 side flashings, therefore, a total of 8 holes shall be required. The position of the holes shall be dependent on the tiles headlap of the roof. Then rivet the main center flashing and the side flashings through the drilled holes using the supplied rivets. Use either Black (preferred) or Gray silicone adhesives for the joints between the main center flashings and the side flashings. (Picture 4)
Step 5
Insert a shorter supplied cable tie through the pre-drilled holes at the bottom supports of the main center flashing and form a loop. Perform the same for the right and left hand bottom supports. Tie down the main center flashing to the batten below with the additional long cable ties through the loop formed. (Picture 5)
Step 6
To prevent the noses of the 2 tiles which sit on the center flashing to protrude upwards, it is best to remove or round off the weatherchecks and supporting nibs as shown in picture. This will allow the tiles sit evenly with existing tiles. (Picture 6)
Step 7
Once the riveting and silicone adhesive applications are done, the 2 tiles on the top of the flashing can be re-laid to their original positions. (Picture 7)
Step 8
Install the Zepher over the neck of the main center flashing. The Zepher must sit perfectly over the recessed neck of the flashing. (Picture 8)
Step 9
To secure the Zepher, drill three 3mm holes through the neck of the Zepher and the flashing. Then screw the neck of the Zepher to the neck of the flashing with 3 self tapping screws supplied. The Zepher can now operate without any maintenance. (Picture 9)
Step 10
To finalize the installation, pick up and remove all debris from the installation thoroughly and wash the roof by hosing down any dust or fine debris from cutting any tiles. Any broken tiles from the result of accidental stepping or damages must be replaced in order to avoid any future leakages. Ensure solar module is cleaned and no stickers or fingerprints on it.
